CiCi's Pizza will again be the title sponsor of the 10th annual Santa Scramble 5k road race. .
The race will officially be known as the "CiCi's Pizza Santa Scramble 5k"
The 10th annual Santa Scramble 5k is set for Saturday November 17th in downtown Concord. This years' race will again be part of the annual Concord Christmas parade and is scheduled to begin at 2:15 pm.
The race is being directed by Phidippides Sports Center of the Carolina Mall in Concord. Race organizers are expecting about 750 runners for this years event. Last year 699 participated in the event, the largest crowd in race history.
The Santa Scramble started in 2003 with the Cabarrus County Parks Department and then was taken over by Phidippides Sports. The race had 67 entries the first year and has now grown to almost 700 runners each.
